TEAMSTERS LOCAL 58
EACH APPLICANT MUST:
- Be the son, daughter or grandchild of an active, retired, disabled, deceased or laid-off Teamster member who has or had at least twelve months of consecutive membership in good standing in Teamsters Local 58;
- Be in his/her last year of high school and may not apply if he/she has already graduated from high school;
- Plan to attend an accredited four-year college/university or community college.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE (USE AS A CHECKLIST)
- Applicant and Teamster parent/grandparent completes questions 1-11;
- Attach your list of activities (VERY IMPORTANT)
- Applicant’s guidance counselor (or equivalent high school official) completes the section marked “Academic Record”;
- Forward your completed application (including your list of activities) and your Academic Record to Local 58. Applicants must send completed applications to the Local 58 Scholarship Program by April 8, 2024.
Applications without activities list, membership verification or received by the Scholarship Program after April 8, 2024 will not be processed.
TEAMSTERS JOINT COUNCIL NO. 37
The Clyde Crosby, Joseph Edgar, and Thomas Malloy Memorial Scholarship is a $500 award which automatically renews each year for up to four years, as long as the applicant meets the renewal criteria.
Eligible applicants must be children or dependent stepchildren of active, retired, disabled, or deceased members of Local Unions affiliated with the Joint Council of Teamsters No. 37 (Local Unions 58, 81, 162, 206, 223, 305, 324, 670 or 962). Qualifying members must have been active Teamsters for at least one year as of February 1 immediately preceding the March scholarship deadline.
Applicants must be graduating high school seniors with a GPA of 3.00+. FAFSA and financial need is required. The applicant does not need to be an Oregon resident nor does the college they plan to attend need to be in Oregon.
Applications open in November and are due by 5:00 PM on April 1, 2024.

INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF TEAMSTERS
The James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund is available for the sons, daughters and financial dependents of Teamster members (including the BMWED, BLET, GCC and TCRC). Academic scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 for high school seniors planning to attend a four-year college or university and Training/Vocational program awards of up to $2,000 for use at community colleges and trade schools.
The children or financial dependents of full-time local union officers or full-time staff of local unions are ineligible.
